Beeping noise at intersection? When I am sitting in my car at this one intersection by my home, I can hear a constant beeping, every single time I am there which is usually at least twice a day. There is a four-way traffic light at this intersection. It sounds like the beeping sound is coming from that pole where you press the button to cross the street. I have never heard anything like this and I am just really curious as to why it is. In case you are wondering this is at the intersection of Plantation Dr. and N. Loop 336 in Conroe, TX.

can 44k cause a fuel pump to squeal? last week i replaced a fuel pump and filter on a 1977 mercedes 280se and it was working fine. I have not driven the car at all all week, just started it in the driveway. Today i put in a can of 44k in the tank to clean it out and now the fuel pump is squealing very loud and bad. Rough running Chevy Suburban engines, loss of power or poor performance may be the signal that your 2004 model might benefit from a fuel filter change. The connecting O-ring did not seal correctly and may cause leaking problems if the fuel filter has been changed before. Step by Step :

Locate the fuel filter. It will be under the driver's side frame rail near the front of the vehicle.

Determine the sides of the filter that are the female ends. Those ends accept the male ends, which have the quick connectors attached.

Insert the separator tool into the female end of the fuel filter fitting. This action causes the quick connect clips to pop open and disengage from the female end, and will allow you to pull off each end of the fuel line.

Push the new fuel filter into place onto the fuel lines. The male quick connectors will snap into place when pushed on firmly.
Tips & Warnings
When putting on a new fuel filter, always follow the guide on the filter itself that shows which end attaches to the fuel tank side and which end attaches to the engine side.

There may be some fuel leakage when the fuel filter is being removed. Be careful to not allow any gasoline to drip into your eyes, and wearing safety glasses or goggles when doing this task is a good precautionary idea.

If you are thinking about saving some extra cash, one simple way is to start servicing your cars yourself. This includes learning how to change your own fuel filter. The fuel filter helps keep your injector from clogging and cleans your fuel for a smoother ride.

Step by Step :

Pop the hood of your car and look for a black cylindrical container about 3 inches in diameter. If you can't find it immediately, try to locate a long black hose. This is your fuel line. Trace your fuel line until you locate the black container.

Open the black container. Using a wrench, remove the screws from cylinder. Set them aside. With the screws removed, you should be able to open the black tube and expose the filter.

Detach the fuel filter by taking out the screws that hold it in place. Be sure to hold on to the screws while you are taking them out so you don't drop any. Set them aside.

Replace the old filter with a new one. This is a simple switch that should be easy. Secure the filter in place with the screws and close the cylindrical container back over the fuel filter. Using a wrench, tighten the screws back into place over the container.

Check your work. Turn the car on and see if any warning lights are lit up on your dashboard. Also look underneath the car for any fluid leaks. If nothing is amiss, you are finished changing your fuel filter.
Tips & Warnings
Using gloves and rags will help with an easy cleanup.

Goggles are recommended for safety.
